Privacy Policy
Who we are
LitSafe Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales under Company No. 16637014.
You can contact us about data protection matters at: enquiry@litsafe.com
This policy covers data collected through litsafe.com only. If you are a user of the LitSafe platform under a customer agreement, separate data processing terms apply to that relationship.
What personal data we collect and why
We collect personal data in two ways on this website.
Briefing request form. When you submit a request for a briefing, we collect your name, company name, role, and email address. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and, where you have indicated interest, to follow up about LitSafe. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. Cloudflare's analytics do not use cookies and do not collect personal data — they produce aggregated, anonymised traffic statistics only. No data is shared with advertising networks. For details, see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
What we do not collect
- We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
- We do not collect sensitive personal data through this website.
How your data is processed and stored
Briefing request submissions are processed by Web3Forms, a form handling service. Submissions are delivered to our enquiry inbox at enquiry@litsafe.com. Web3Forms processes data in accordance with GDPR; see their privacy policy for details.
We retain enquiry data for as long as is necessary to manage the business relationship, and no longer than two years from your last contact with us, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — you can ask us to delete your data where we have no lawful reason to retain it.
- Objection — you can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Restriction — you can ask us to restrict processing while a complaint is resolved.
- Portability — you can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format where processing is automated and based on consent or contract.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at enquiry@litsafe.com. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
We would always prefer the opportunity to address your concern directly first — please contact us at enquiry@litsafe.com.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. No cookie consent banner is displayed because none is required.
Your browser may set session cookies as part of normal website operation (for example, to maintain a secure connection). These are not used to track you across sites or sessions.
Links to other websites
This website contains links to third-party sites (including LinkedIn, Companies House, and the ICO). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.
